Job summary

St Vincent's Hospital Network is seeking a Histology Laboratory Leader to take ownership of day-to-day operations, lead a high-performing team and drive service efficiency in Sydney. The role requires hands-on histology expertise and at least 3 years in a supervisory or equivalent leadership position.

You will supervise scientific and technical staff, foster a collaborative culture and monitor KPIs to identify opportunities for process and system improvements within the histology lab.

Qualifications

• Australian or New Zealand citizen or visa with work rights for Australia.
• Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) and at least 3 years’ experience in Histology Laboratory Supervisor or equivalent leadership role.
• Hands-on histology expertise across histology bench areas and day-to-day laboratory operations.

• Lead and develop your team: supervise, mentor and build capability of scientific and technical staff.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
• Drive continuous improvement by monitoring workflow, turnaround times and KPIs and identifying opportunities to improve processes, systems and laboratory performance.
