Job summary

Thiess operates at Olive Downs Complex in Queensland, seeking a qualified High Voltage Electrician to maintain autonomous AC Electric Drive Haul Trucks and site equipment. This role focuses on safety, reliability and efficient mining operations.

As part of the Olive Downs team, you will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections and changes, working on a 7/7 roster with day and night shifts. Camp accommodation and meals are provided.

Qualifications

• Queensland Electrical Work Licence (or equivalent).
• Current LVR/CPR.
• Current Standard 11.
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence.
• HV Switching certification (desirable).
• Proven experience in mining, heavy industry or construction.
• Strong commitment to safety and Thiess values of Integrity, Accountability, Innovation and Delivery.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain autonomous AC Electric Drive Haul Trucks, plant equipment and site infrastructure.
• Perform general maintenance, breakdown repairs, servicing, component changes and electrical inspections/testing.
• Source technical information from OEM manuals and maintain documentation.
• Conduct inspections to maximise reliability and utilisation while maintaining housekeeping.
• Work safely and comply with Site Safety Health and Management System.
