Job summary

The Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure NSW – Alexandria NSW invites Expressions of Interest for Roofing and Plumbing Supervisor roles. We seek qualified tradespeople with heritage roofing and plumbing inspection experience, especially on heritage buildings.

Typical duties include site inspections for quality and safety, assisting estimating and planning, and working on scaffolds and roof spaces.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate or equivalent in a construction craft with hands-on plumbing/roofing inspection experience.
• Post-trade certificate or equivalent qualification in a construction stream.
• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
• Valid NSW Driver Licence and willingness to travel to remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality and safety inspections across active project sites.
• Assist with estimating and planning future works.
• Work autonomously on scaffolds and in roof spaces and other demanding environments.
• Demonstrate understanding of current WHS legislation and regulations.
