Job summary

Corestaff is seeking a Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to service and repair heavy vehicles and plant, across trucks and machinery. This role emphasizes routine maintenance and diagnostic work, with potential for permanent placement with the client.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications in heavy vehicle diesel mechanics or equivalent.
• HR Drivers Licence preferred.
• LF Forklift Licence preferred.
• Safe Working at heights preferred.
• Industrial and waste equipment knowledge.
• Hydraulics experience.
• Exposure to auto electrical works.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing and maintenance of heavy vehicles and plant.
• Diagnose faults and repair heavy vehicles and equipment.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics and fabrication is a plus.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This position is for a Trade qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with exposure to a wide variety of trucks and machinery. Your primary responsibility will be the routine servicing and maintaining, diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicles and plant.

While not essential, waste industry experience or hydraulics, pneumatics and fabrication would be viewed favorably.

These permanent positions have additional remuneration opportunities with Afternoon Shift and Breakdown allowances.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:

• Formal qualifications in heavy vehicle diesel mechanics or equivalent (Certificate 3 in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical).
• HR Drivers Licence (Preferred HC but not essential).
• LF Forklift Licence (Preferred).
• Safe Working at heights (Preferred).
• Industrial and waste equipment knowledge.
• Hydraulics experience.
• Exposure to auto electrical works.
