Job summary

Transport for NSW is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join the Maintenance and Delivery team at Yennora on a 9-day fortnight, Monday to Friday. You will perform maintenance and repairs on heavy vehicles and plant equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

The role requires a Heavy Vehicle or Plant Mechanical trade, NSW driver’s licence, and a commitment to safety. Benefits include 4 weeks annual leave, supplied PPE and tools, and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Ambitious, collaborative and qualified mechanical tradesperson who enjoys working autonomously.
• Ability to identify, communicate and report environmental hazards in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair a range of plant items, vehicles and mechanical equipment.
• Install, maintain, and modify complex hydraulic/pneumatic machinery.
• Supervise apprentices or staff as required.
