Job summary

Northeast Auto Group is seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic to join our high‑performance team in Adelaide. You will diagnose mechanical problems, service trucks and heavy machinery, plan jobs, order parts and mentor apprentices in a state‑of‑the‑art workshop.

You’ll work with safety at the core and contribute to delivering reliable results, while benefiting from a secure long‑term role, growth opportunities and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in heavy diesel/motor mechanics (dual trade advantageous).
• Experience diagnosing mechanical problems on heavy vehicles.
• Ability to repair trucks, buses and heavy machinery to Job Cards.
• HR licence advantageous.

About The Role

• Analysing and diagnosing mechanical problems
• Repairing and servicing trucks, buses and other heavy machinery in line with Job Cards
• The planning of jobs and ordering the required parts
• Completion of all paperwork regarding work performed
• Mentoring apprentices and assisting with their development
• Maintaining a commitment to safety in the workplace

About You

• Trade qualification in heavy diesel/motor mechanics (dual trade advantageous)
• Extensive industry experience
• Proven ability in technical diagnosis and repair a range of machinery and heavy vehicles
• Ability to identify specific parts or components
• Driver’s licence (plus HR Licence advantageous)
