Central Diesel & Hydraulics Pty. Ltd. in Kilmore, VIC 3764 is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This full-time role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy diesel vehicles and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

You will perform preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and collaborate with a skilled workshop team while upholding health and safety standards and delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in heavy diesel mechanics or equivalent trade experience.
• 3–5 years experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel engines and vehicle systems.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• Valid driver's license to operate heavy vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in heavy diesel vehicles and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid top-ups.
• Conduct inspections of engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.
• Test and adjust vehicle systems for safety and performance.
• Maintain detailed service records.
• Operate diagnostic equipment and specialist tools safely.
• Collaborate with team to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company procedures.
