Job summary

Regional Group Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Deer Park Workshop in Melbourne. You will service and repair company vehicles, perform scheduled and priority repairs and annual roadworthy inspections, and contribute to a growing fleet maintenance program.

The role requires a trade qualification with at least 3 years' experience, strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Full Diesel Mechanic qualifications with minimum 3 years' experience.
• Truck servicing ability.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing faults in vehicles.
• Ability to follow direction and work autonomously.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit for heavy work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or Earthmoving Equipment experience is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

Job description

Regional Group Australia (RGA) is excited to share we are building a bigger team to meet demands for our expanding business. We are looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join us in our Deer Park Workshop who is keen to contribute to the continued growth of the business.

About the role:

You will be responsible for ongoing repairs and maintenance of the RGA fleet. This role will consist of scheduled and priority repairs along with preventative maintenance schedules and annual roadworthy inspections.

Duties will include:

• Maintain, service and repair company vehicles
• Diagnose and repair faults and defects in vehicles
• Field servicing/breakdowns as required
• Carry out tasks at the highest standard possible
• Inspections and assessments on vehicles as required (including the completion ofthe relevant documentation)
• Conduct all activities in a safe manner

Skills and experience required:

• Full Diesel Mechanic qualifications minimum 3 years' experience
• Truck servicing ability
• Experience with Diagnosing and repairing faults and defects in vehicles
• The ability to follow direction &work autonomously
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Physically fit for heavy work
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Earthmoving Equipment Highly regarded
