Job summary

Genesis Mining Services (GMS) is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our Mobile Maintenance team at the Laverton operation. You will work on a modern fleet of mining equipment, supported by structured maintenance programs and diagnostic technology.

The role offers a 15 days on/off FIFO roster from Perth to Leonora, or DIDO from surrounding communities, with a focus on safety, reliability, and performance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing faults on heavy mobile mining equipment.
• Experience delivering field service on mining fleets is essential.
• Commitment to safety and reliability in remote operations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work is performed safely and in line with WHS legislation.
• Maintain equipment to OEM specifications and company standards.
• Report daily activities, breakdowns and labour requirements to the Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Fitter.
• Promote a positive safety culture across the team.

Genesis Mining Services (GMS) are seeking experienced and motivated Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our high performing Mobile Maintenance team at our Laverton operation, where the way we work is just as important as your trade expertise.

Your strong technical expertise will be instrumental in supporting preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and breakdown repairs across our modern fleet of Hitachi, Komatsu, and Caterpillar mining equipment. You'll play a critical role in maximising fleet reliability, safety, and operational efficiency.

A 15 days and nights, 13 off FIFO roster from Perth to Leonora is on offer or DIDO from surrounding communities.

Key Responsibilities Also Include

• Ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with WHS legislation
• Maintaining equipment to company standards and OEM specifications
• Reporting day to day activities, breakdowns, and labour requirements to the Leading Hand Heavy Diesel Fitter
• Promoting and maintaining a positive safety culture across the team

You Will Also Have

• Current Driver's Licence (HR desirable)
• Demonstrated experience in field service, including diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing faults across heavy mobile mining equipment
• WA recognised Trade Certificate in Heavy Diesel Fitting (or equivalent)
• Demonstrated experience in mobile equipment maintenance within the mining industry
• Strong commitment to safe work practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Full Australian working rights are required for this opportunity
