Metro North Health in Queensland is seeking a Social Work Clinical Lead for the Heart and Lung Program at The Prince Charles Hospital. You will provide strategic, operational and professional leadership to a team of social workers, drive service development and ensure high-quality patient-centred care.

You will oversee workforce planning, performance development, and quality initiatives, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the future direction of specialist social work

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Social Workers within the Heart and Lung stream, fostering excellence in clinical practice, workforce capability and patient-centred care.
• Provide advanced clinical expertise and professional leadership in the delivery of specialist social work services for patients with complex health needs.
• Drive strategic planning, service development and quality improvement initiatives that strengthen service delivery and support the continuum of care.
• Provide expert advice and consultancy to senior management, multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders on social work practice, service planning and patient care matters.
• Oversee staff development, performance management, professional standards and compliance with social work practice frameworks and ethical requirements.
