Job summary

Affinity Education Group is seeking a capable Cook to join our team at a NSW early learning centre. You will create healthy menus, prepare meals in bulk, manage stock and assist in teaching children about nutritious choices.

Experience in childcare is valued. A current Food Safety certificate and a first aid certification (including asthma/anaphylaxis training) are required; transport to the centre is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Food Safety and Handlers (Health and Community) Certificate required.
• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery / equivalent (desirable).
• Experience in an early childhood setting preferred.
• Reliable transport to and from the centre.
• Current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation training required.

Responsibilities

• Create healthy menus for children.
• Participate in teaching moments about healthy food with children and families.
• Manage bulk meal prep, stock, and budget implications.
• Comply with food safety and hygiene regulations.
