Chatswood or Brookvale headspace offices, primary location to be negotiated
The CYMHS Headspace Youth Health Initiative is a new multidisciplinary service providing enhanced specialist care for young people aged from 12- 24 (up to the age of 25) presenting to headspace Chatswood and Brookvale services with moderate to severe mental health needs but not meeting the threshold for NSLHD community CYMHS or adult mental health services. This service will have a particular focus on young people aged 12-24 presenting with emerging or first episode psychosis; and adolescents aged 12-17 with other moderate to severe mental health concerns requiring enhanced specialist, multidisciplinary, and systemic intervention. This service will be embedded within and will work collaboratively with headspace to provide assessment, evidence-based interventions, collaborative care planning with young people, their parents/caregivers, and other systems of support as appropriate.
