Job summary

Hamilton Island Wildlife Park is seeking an experienced Animal Keeper Supervisor to lead our Animal Keeping team. You will oversee husbandry, welfare and exhibit presentations while collaborating with the Director of Operations on collection management and safety standards.

You will develop staff, ensure compliance, and deliver engaging wildlife experiences for guests, drawing on strong animal care knowledge and a passion for Australian fauna.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising an Animal Keeping team.
• Knowledge of koala husbandry and koala browse species.
• Strong record-keeping and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Animal Keeping team and daily husbandry operations.
• Maintain collection management plans and welfare standards.
• Train, mentor and develop keeping staff and deliver guest presentations.
• Monitor health, safety and compliance and maintain records.
