Job summary

AACo’s Dalgonally property in Queensland seeks a Head Stockperson to coordinate daily livestock operations, lead and develop the stockcamp team, and ensure work is performed safely, efficiently and to high welfare standards.

Working with the Station Manager, you’ll drive performance across livestock, infrastructure and station activities, maintain animal welfare records, support water and fencing upkeep, and contribute to planning while enjoying on-site accommodation and meals.

Qualifications

• Leading Hand or Head Stockperson experience in pastoral operation
• Strong cattle handling and animal husbandry skills
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop people
• Understanding of livestock welfare, biosecurity and QA requirements
• Experience with Stockmate or similar livestock recording systems (desirable)
• Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills
• Current Driver's Licence and Firearms Licence (or ability to obtain)
