About the Role

The Head of Treasury is a senior leadership within the Finance division, responsible for overseeing BaptistCare’s treasury strategy, cash flow, investment portfolio, debt financing, insurance structure, and financial risk management.

This role ensures financial sustainability, liquidity, and long‑term organisational resilience by leading treasury operations, optimising capital structures, and partnering closely with the CFO, GM Finance / Deputy CFO, and senior leaders.

You will play a pivotal role in shaping an integrated national approach to treasury management and supporting BaptistCare’s mission through ethical stewardship and financial excellence.

About the Team

The Finance function exists to be a trusted partner in advancing BaptistCare’s purpose and values through faithful stewardship, financial insight, and operational excellence. Working collaboratively across the organisation, the Finance team provides strategic analysis, governance, and financial leadership that enables sustainable growth and effective decision‑making across all service streams nationwide.

About You

You will bring deep technical expertise in Treasury and Financial Management, along with the leadership capability to guide a high‑performing function in a complex, multi‑jurisdictional organisation.

Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in Treasury and Financial Management, with a strong background in managing cash flow, banking, debt financing, and investments
  • Experience in working with senior leadership teams to deliver strategic financial initiatives and manage financial risks effectively
  • High level of expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, and budget management
  • Advanced knowledge of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices in Treasury management
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Professional certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CPA (Certified Practicing Accountant)
  • Experience in managing Treasury functions in large, complex organisations
  • Familiarity with relevant sector regulations (e.g., NDIS, Healthcare) and industry‑specific risk management frameworks
