St Augustine's College, Cairns invites applications for the Head of Technologies. The role is a full-time, fixed-term leadership position embedded within a substantive teaching role from 18 January 2027 to 18 January 2030.

Salary ranges from $86,600 to $144,259 FTE gross per annum depending on qualification and experience, with additional Middle Leader Tier 3 allowance of $19,535 and other benefits. Closing date is 3pm on Monday 9 November 2026.

About the Role

The role of the Head of Department is to support the mission of the school through leadership of the learning and teaching program. This involves implementing appropriate curriculum in line with national, state and local requirements; ensuring that appropriate pedagogies are developed and implemented at all levels; monitoring the quality of student learning and the effectiveness of teacher practice through appropriate supervision; utilising thorough analysis of current data to inform decisions; developing appropriate partnerships within and outside of the school; and prudently administering available resources.
