Job summary

Plenty Valley Christian College in Melbourne’s northern suburbs is seeking a Head of Teaching, Learning & Innovation (Secondary) to lead teaching, learning, assessment and curriculum for Years 7–12, reporting to the Director of Teaching, Learning & Innovation.

The role focuses on coaching, curriculum leadership and instructional improvement, partnering with Secondary leaders to drive evidence-informed practice and learner growth, while embedding the college’s Christian vision.

Qualifications

• Active commitment to the Christian faith and PVCC's mission and values.
• Appropriate teaching qualifications and current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration, or eligibility.
• Strong understanding of curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and instructional practice.
• Deep commitment to Christian education and faith-learning integration.
• Ability to lead and influence improvement through coaching and professional learning.
• Understanding of evidence-informed educational practice.
• Proven ability to lead teams and build collaborative professional cultures.
• Strong knowledge of secondary schooling and adolescent learning.
• Curiosity about educational innovation, emerging technologies and AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead Teaching and Learning across Years 7–12.
• Provide Curriculum Leadership and assessment oversight.
• Coach and develop Secondary staff and PLCs.
