Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Current Working with Children Card.
• Health and Physical Education as a major teaching area.
• Demonstrated high-quality teaching of Health and Physical Education across Years 7-12.
• Demonstrated ability to lead the Secondary sport program.
• Experience delivering school sport, interschool competitions, carnivals.
• Experience coordinating and supervising coaches and staff.
• Strong organisational and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a plan for growth of the Secondary sporting program.
• Lead and inspire the sport team to develop high-quality, inclusive programs.
• Advise on recruitment and deployment of sport staff and coaches.
• Lead the Secondary sport program across Years 7-12.
• Establish and monitor the annual sport budget and resources.
• Develop College ACC, SSWA and NAS sporting programs and carnivals.
• Fulfil a teaching load of ~0.35 FTE during Head of Sport tenure.
