Job summary

Queensland Government Air seeks a senior aviation leader to head rotary wing operations. You will guide a high-performing team, enforce safety and compliance, and drive excellence in aeromedical, SAR and emergency missions across Queensland.

The role offers a 3-year contract with flexibility to be based in Brisbane, Cairns or Townsville and requires extensive PIC/rotary experience and CASA compliance know-how.

Qualifications

• Hold a current Australian ATPL.
• Possess NVIS and Low Level flight rating.
• Have extensive PIC hours in helicopters (multi-engine and turbine).
• Demonstrate knowledge of CASA CASR 1998 Parts 119/133/138 and safety leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead rotary wing operations and direct a high performing team.
• Uphold safety, compliance, and operational excellence standards.
• Shape strategic direction and oversee aeromedical, SAR and emergency missions.
• Manage bases across Brisbane, Cairns or Townsville as required.
