Job summary

Woolworths Group in Sydney's Surry Hills is seeking a senior leader to drive the Everyday Rewards app and website, leading a high-performing team of 20+ Product and Experience Design professionals shaping digital experiences for millions of users. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a hybrid work model and a focus on delivering customer value at scale.

You will partner with the General Manager as 2IC to guide prioritisation, elevate discovery and design capabilities, and strengthen

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience: 5+ years in a senior leadership capacity within Product Management or Experience Design, with 8+ years of hands-on experience focused on mobile apps.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced, complex retail or digital subscription environments.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate data into commercial product strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and prepare the long-term portfolio vision for the Everyday Rewards app and website.
  • Guide Tribe-level prioritisation, cross-Tribe dependencies and high-impact strategic planning.
  • Elevate product discovery, analysis and experience design across Product Management, Business Analysis and Experience Design.
  • Forge strategic relationships with Everyday Rewards NZ and W-Digital to maximise alignment and customer value.
  • Execute roadmap excellence, balance tactical wins with long-term goals, and remove delivery roadblocks.
  • Cultivate an inclusive, diverse and psychologically safe culture for the team.

What you'll do

Leadand prepare the long-term portfolio vision for the Everyday Rewards app and website, ensuring squads have an inspiring target state to build toward

Partnerhorizontally with the General Manager as 2IC to guide Tribe-level prioritisation, cross-Tribe dependencies, and high-impact strategic business planning.

Elevateproduct discovery, solution analysis, and experience design capabilities to match world-class standards across Product Management, Business Analysis, and Experience Design.

Forgestrategic relationships across the organisation—primarily with Everyday Rewards NZ and W-Digital—to maximise horizontal alignment and deliver customer value with minimal complexity.

Executeroadmap excellence by balancing tactical wins with long-term goals aligned to the annual operating plan, while aggressively removing roadblocks for delivery squads.

Cultivatean inclusive, diverse, and psychologically safe culture where team members unleash their potential and thrive through shared learning.

What you'll bring

Proven Leadership Experience:5+ years in a senior leadership capacity within Product Management or Experience Design, alongside 8+ years of hands‑on experience with a strong focus on mobile apps.

Complex Sector Expertise:A demonstrated track record of success within fast-growth, complex environments, ideally across Retail, e‑Commerce, or digital subscription platforms.

Strategic & Analytical Mindset:Exceptional qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to translate complex data into clear, commercial, and successful product strategies.

Methodology & Execution Mastery:Deep familiarity with Agile operating frameworks and scaled product delivery, ensuring efficient trade‑off decisions and high‑velocity execution.

Stakeholder Influence & Maturity:Strong capability to build instant credibility, navigate matrixed organizations, and secure stakeholder sponsorship through influence rather than authority.

People-First Approach:An empowering, coaching-led style with a growth mindset, deeply committed to growing senior practitioners and fostering user‑centric outcomes.
