Job summary

Volkswagen Group Australia is seeking a Head of Procurement to lead the group procurement function, drive strategy, and mature procurement capability across the organisation. You will align local practices with Volkswagen AG standards and partner with business leaders on strategic sourcing and supplier management.

The role focuses on governance, value delivery, and cross-functional collaboration, reporting to the Director of Finance and IT.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Business, Procurement or related discipline.
• Extensive procurement experience including leadership of procurement teams and enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Experience operating within a complex corporate environment and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
• Proven experience leading commercial negotiations, supplier management and procurement governance activities.
• Demonstrated experience delivering procurement savings.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation.
• Ability to coach, mentor and develop team members and stakeholders.
• Good project management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group Procurement function, including strategy, transformation and annual business planning.
• Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure procurement policies, governance frameworks and internal controls are in place.
• Align local procurement with Volkswagen AG standards and compliance.
• Provide sourcing and procurement advice to business stakeholders.
• Lead procurement projects with key stakeholders from planning to execution.
• Oversee end-to-end sourcing activities: market analysis, tenders, evaluations, negotiations.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships and key commercial agreements.
• Ensure cost, quality, service, risk and compliance balance in acquisitions.
• Oversee supplier performance, contract management and risk.Lead, develop and mentor the procurement team.
• Monitor procurement performance, savings and value delivered.
• Oversee Facilities Management service providers and budget performance.
