The role oversees governance, strategies, supplier performance, and cross-border sourcing while building a high-performing procurement team across multiple currencies.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 10 years in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Strategic Sourcing roles.
• 3–5 years of senior procurement leadership experience in mining, heavy resources, engineering, energy, or heavy construction.
• Proven experience building procurement organizations, governance frameworks, SOPs, and transformation initiatives.
• Experience across multi‑currency environments (AUD, PGK, USD).
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Aufgaben

• Develop and execute end-to-end procurement strategy aligned with priorities, schedules, and finances.
• Negotiate and manage relationships with suppliers, contractors, freight forwarders, customs agents, and service providers across Australia and Papua New Guinea.
• Establish supplier agreements, frameworks, and sourcing initiatives to improve continuity and outcomes.
• Design, recruit, mentor, and develop the procurement organization across corporate and site operations.
• Develop procurement policies, SOPs, delegated authority, and governance for audit readiness.
• Lead resolution of complex procurement issues including customs delays, logistics bottlenecks, and cross-border purchasing.
• Partner with Finance, Project Managers, and Site Leadership to align procurement with project timelines and budgets.
• Drive cost optimization through strategic sourcing and supplier performance management.
• Ensure compliance with governance, ethical sourcing, anti-bribery, and modern slavery requirements.
