Job summary

The O&G Head of Department role at Royal Darwin Hospital in Darwin offers a part-time 0.5 FTE position with a generous remuneration package ranging from $315,843 to $349,187 per year, including salary between $270,033 and $298,705 plus allowances.

You will lead the Obstetrics and Gynaecology division, provide executive oversight, manage resources, and drive multi-disciplinary care, teaching and research collaborations with CDU and Menzies Hospital programs.

Qualifications

• Requires eligible for specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Fellowship of a relevant Medical College is required.
• Six years or more of full-time medical practice as a Staff Specialist or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the Department and oversee patient flow, safety, quality, and staff supervision.
• Support governance, operations and implement strategic programmes with the NT Health Executive Team.
• Lead high-performing teams and ensure professional excellence and accountability within NT Health values.
• Oversee HR responsibilities including rostering, performance management and staffing levels.
