NSW Department of Education is seeking a Head Teacher Mathematics at Northern Beaches Secondary College Mackellar Girls Campus to lead the mathematics faculty and drive whole-school numeracy strategies. • Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
• Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
• Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
• Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
• Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
• Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
• Demonstrated capacity to work as part of the school executive, leading a cycle of continuous improvement including the implementation of whole school numeracy strategies and the school’s strategic directions.
• Highly developed leadership skills with the demonstrated capacity to be innovative and build a culture of collaboration and staff development to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
• Demonstrated educational and organisational leadership to lead a Mathematics faculty in developing high-quality teaching programs, assessment and reporting practices, and consistent, evidence-informed approaches that lift student achievement.
