Job summary

Concordia Lutheran College is seeking an experienced Head of Junior College to lead the Prep–Year 6 campus and Early Learning Centre. This executive role reports to the Principal and shapes educational direction, culture and operational excellence across the Junior College.

The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, curriculum oversight, staffing and community engagement, while ensuring alignment with Lutheran values within Toowoomba.

Qualifications

• Tertiary teaching qualifications required.
• Full (or eligible) QCT registration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic vision, culture and educational direction for Prep–Year 6 and Early Learning Centre.
• Provide visible, values‑based leadership that promotes excellence, wellbeing, inclusion and Christian ethos.
• Oversee curriculum, assessment, reporting and instructional practice in partnership with the Leader of Curriculum (Junior College).
• Ensure compliance with QCAA, ACARA, NQF, Child Safe Standards and all relevant legislation.
• Manage staff across recruitment, induction, performance and professional learning.
• Oversee student wellbeing, behaviour frameworks and restorative practices.
