Girton Grammar School in Bendigo, Victoria, seeks a passionate educator to advance to Head of House in the Senior School. This three-year role combines pastoral leadership with a teaching allocation in your subject area, focusing on wellbeing, engagement and school culture.

You will lead wellbeing initiatives, mentor staff, build strong relationships with students and families, and contribute to strategic pastoral leadership within the Senior School.

Formación

• Experience in student wellbeing, pastoral care, mentoring or student engagement.

Responsabilidades

Girton Grammar School is looking for a passionate and committed educator seeking to further their leadership journey through the role of Head of House within the Senior School.

This three-year Position of Responsibility provides an opportunity to make a significant contribution to student wellbeing, House culture and student leadership. The Head of House plays a central role in ensuring every student is known, supported and challenged to achieve their personal best while fostering a strong sense of belonging and connection within the House community.

Working closely with students, House Mentors, wellbeing personnel and teaching staff, the Head of House is a key leader within the School's pastoral care framework. The role involves coordinating targeted wellbeing support, monitoring student engagement, attendance and academic progress, partnering with families, and leading House programs, activities and events. The position includes a teaching allocation within the successful applicant's subject area.

You are a collaborative and student-centred educator who is committed to strengthening student wellbeing, engagement and success. You demonstrate initiative, sound judgement and the ability to build positive relationships across all areas of the School community.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

• Experience in student wellbeing, pastoral care, mentoring or student engagement.
• The capacity to lead, mentor and support colleagues within a collaborative team environment.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and case management skills.
• A genuine commitment to the wellbeing, development and success of adolescents.
• Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration and the ability to teach within a recognised subject area.
• A strong commitment to child safety, inclusion and the values of Girton Grammar School.
