The Role

Reporting to the CFO and partnering with the local Director and leadership team this role will be critical to support with the continued growth and transformation of the Travelex business both in the ANZ region and globally. This role will be responsible for the management of the ANZ Finance team to ensure the day-to-day Finance deliverables are met including the leadership of all key finance milestones such as budget, audits and finance transformation. The role will have oversight of the ANZ Treasury and Tax function to ensure alignment to strategic business outcomes.

This role will have the primary responsibility for partnering with the local Director and leadership team to provide commercial business support across both the retail and wholesale businesses. It will provide strategic advice, business planning & analysis including commercial business casing for new and emerging business opportunities. The role will develop strong business relationships with external partners and business stakeholders, as well as local and global leaderships and finance teams.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Develop & implement finance strategies to support the company’s business objectives including 3 and 5 year plans
  • Gather and analyse insights to identify trends, opportunities and risks for the business for future growth
  • Oversee the regional budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning process through the finance team
  • Finance transformation and leadership of the local ANZ finance team

This is a high-impact, strategic role suited to a commercially astute finance leader who thrives in complex, fast-moving and performance-driven environments.

Your profile

You are a passionate, energetic and future focused finance executive with a strong technical foundation and commercial acumen to drive strategic outcomes. You have worked in global matrixed companies and ideally have experience within the retail / wholesale or Financial Services sector. You have a proven track record working with transformation, highly competitive margin-based businesses with a focus on cost control, revenue growth through new channels of business opportunities, where you have closely partnered to drive business growth & maintain obligations within a compliance driven business (AML).

Key attributes:
  • Degree in Accounting/Finance and CPA/CA qualified
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Finance with at least 5 years in Senior leadership roles
  • Strategic thinker with a proven track record in supporting business growth & influencing at an executive level and C-suite
  • Exposure to transformation and leading through change
  • Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management
