Job summary

PEAU Page Executive is seeking a commercially focused Head of Finance for an industrial manufacturing and distribution group in Western Sydney. The role partners with the CEO, driving strategic financial leadership and governance across APAC operations.

You will oversee budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and statutory reporting, while mentoring the finance team and assuming Company Secretary responsibilities to strengthen governance and reporting frameworks.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified with strong leadership experience.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing or similar sectors.
• Proven ability to partner with CEO and senior leaders.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, treasury and cash flow.
• Company Secretary responsibilities experience or willingness to assume these responsibilities.
• ERP experience, with Pronto; exposure to SAP/Oracle/JD Edwards a plus.

Head of Finance position leading financial strategy and operations within the industrial and manufacturing sector. This role is based in a convenient Western Sydney location and focuses on delivering financial leadership and ensuring operational efficiency.

Our client is a well-established industrial manufacturing and distribution business with annual revenue of approximately $65 million and a strong reputation for quality, customer service and operational excellence. With a growing APAC footprint and a complex inventory-driven environment, the business is seeking an experienced Head of Finance to join them and be a key partner in their ambitious growth plans. This is a highly visible role that will partner closely with the CEO and the senior leadership team, providing commercial insight, strengthening governance and driving financial performance across the organisation.

As Head of Finance, you will lead the finance function while acting as a trusted adviser to the leadership team and the business. They are seeking a commercially minded finance leader who can provide strategic & operational insight, challenge decision-making where required and drive improved business outcomes. You will also assume Company Secretary responsibilities, ensuring robust governance, compliance and reporting frameworks are maintained across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to support strategic decision making and business growth
• Deliver timely monthly flash reporting, management accounts and board reporting
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and cash flow planning processes
• Manage statutory reporting and year-end audit processes, acting as the primary liaison with external auditors
• Strengthen governance, financial controls and capital expenditure approval processes
• Provide commercial insights around profitability, working capital and business performance
• Lead foreign exchange management across multiple currencies, taking a proactive approach to risk management
• Drive improvements in inventory reporting, visibility and analysis, including identification of slow-moving and excess stock
• Oversee finance activities across APAC operations
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team

Profile

You are a commercially focused finance leader who enjoys influencing outcomes and partnering with operational stakeholders. You are comfortable operating in a hands-on environment while maintaining a strategic perspective.

To be successful you will bring:

• CA or CPA qualification
• Experience leading finance within industrial manufacturing, import/distribution or related sectors for a $50-100M TO organisation
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, working capital management and supply chain dynamics
• Demonstrated success partnering with executives and operational leaders to improve business performance
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, treasury and cash flow management
• Strong governance mindset with the confidence to challenge and drive accountability
• Previous Company Secretary experience or willingness to assume these responsibilities
• ERP experience, ideally Pronto; exposure to SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards or similar systems will also be considered
