Relationships Australia NSW is seeking a senior finance leader to lead a team of five across Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Accounts Payable and Payroll, partnering with the business to deliver insights and strategic financial support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a similar leadership role.
• A relevant tertiary qualification, together with CPA or CA accreditation, is essential.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting standards and statutory obligations.
• Not-for-Profit sector experience is highly desirable.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proven leadership with experience building high-performing teams.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and driving efficiencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 5 across Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Payroll.
• Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring integrity, efficiency and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and funding obligations with robust governance.
• Support the General Manager, Corporate Services in driving projects and system improvements.
• Partner with leaders to provide strategic financial advice and insights.

What you'll do:

• Lead and develop a team of 5 across Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Payroll, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial services and fostering a high-performance culture
• Oversee all day-to-day financial operations, ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, policies, and internal controls
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and funding obligations while maintaining robust governance and risk management frameworks
• Support the General Manager, Corporate Services in driving key projects, process improvements, and system enhancements, working closely with stakeholders across the organisation
• Partner with business leaders to provide strategic financial advice, insights, and analysis that support informed decision-making and alignment with organisational objectives
