We are looking for a Head of Finance Pacific to join our Finance team. In this role, you will lead the full financial management framework for the Pacific region, combining strong controllership discipline, strategic FP&A capabilities, and effective business partnering. You will ensure accurate reporting, strong governance, and forward-looking insights that shape critical business decisions across the region.
This is a Permanent, Full-time role based in Sydney, reporting to the APAC CFO.
Lead and oversee the full financial reporting lifecycle, including accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closures compliant with GAAP/IFRS and Pacific statutory requirements.
Define and maintain a strong internal control environment, ensuring full compliance with regulatory, audit, and internal governance requirements.
Manage accounting operations (AP, AR, payroll, general ledger) in collaboration with Genpact, ensuring accurate balance sheet management and operational efficiency.
Oversee cash flow, liquidity, treasury, and working capital to ensure financial stability and operational continuity.
Drive tax compliance across areas such as CIT, VAT, WHT, and transfer pricing, working closely with group tax teams and external advisors.
Partner strategically with senior leaders across Business, Operations, HR, and other functions to provide financial guidance and challenge assumptions to drive better outcomes.
Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
Build and maintain advanced financial models, including customer profitability and scenario planning, to support strategic decisions.
Drive business performance analysis through variance analysis, identification of key drivers, and actionable recommendations to enhance profitability.
Prepare and deliver financial dashboards and leadership-ready presentations communicating performance, risks, and opportunities.
Leverage ERP platforms, corporate reporting systems, and data analytics tools to enhance financial visibility, accuracy, and efficiency.
Shape long-term financial planning aligned with business strategy, market trends, competitor insights, and business model evolution.
Implement risk management frameworks, scenario planning, and governance standards to safeguard the business.
Champion digital finance transformation through data analytics, automation, ERP optimization, and emerging technologies (AI, automation, blockchain applications).
Lead, mentor, and develop the regional finance team, ensuring strong succession planning and continuous learning.
Promote a culture of high performance, collaboration, ethical conduct, and accountability across departments.
Drive cross-functional initiatives that support business growth, operational excellence, and financial transparency.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
Professional certification such as CPA (or equivalent) is required.
Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience across Controllership, FP&A, and business partnering.
Experience in a multinational corporation and preferred matrix environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS, financial reporting, internal controls, tax compliance, cash management, and governance frameworks.
Expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, analytics, and ERP systems.
Strong business acumen with the ability to align financial decisions with commercial strategy.
Ability to challenge constructively, influence senior leaders, and communicate financial insights clearly.
Demonstrated capability in talent development, coaching, and managing high-performing teams.
High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to governance.
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Experience in financial digital transformation, BI tools, or automation platforms.
