About the Role

This is a rare, full-time opportunity to provide strategic and technical advice that ensures a sustainable balance between airport operations, environmental values, and future growth. The role is as dynamic as you make it, from relocating a wandering wombat, conducting water quality testing, to collaborating with stakeholders on major construction projects. Days are never dull at Hobart Airport!

Your work will have a broad impact as we continue to embed sustainability into every aspect of our business.

What you’ll bring

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science/Science or Environmental Engineering (minimum requirement)

5+ years of field experience in environmental management, with significant exposure to the environmental aspects of construction activities

Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and Commonwealth government environmental requirements

Practical knowledge of carbon mapping, reporting, and data collation

Proven ability to manage projects, budgets, and meet deadlines

Strong communication, stakeholder management, and writing skills

A friendly, people-first attitude and great relationship-building skills
