The Head of Energy Operations is a newly created position within our Thermal Generation Business Unit, based at the Kwinana site.
The purpose of the role is to lead the strategic, operational and commercial performance of the Cockburn and Kwinana Energy assets portfolio, ensuring safe, reliable, efficient energy production and supply.
The role will drive innovation and sustainability initiatives, oversee integration of emerging technologies, and maintain compliance with environmental, safety and market regulations while fostering stakeholder relationships and aligning operational decisions with long-term business objectives.
Provide strategic direction and mentorship, ensuring alignment with strategy while empowering individuals to achieve their potential.
Oversee safe, reliable and efficient operation of energy production and supply facilities.
Drive continuous improvement in asset performance, emissions reduction and cost optimisation.
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety and market regulations.
Manage budgets, capital investments and risk across the energy operations and emerging technology portfolios.
Tertiary qualification in Business, Management or a related discipline with extensive leadership experience.
Experience managing complex operations with multiple assets and technologies.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and integration across teams and business units to improve operational efficiency and strategic alignment.
Strong background in ensuring safe and reliable operations.
Ability to oversee life-extension projects and integrate new technologies.
