About the role

As part of our continued growth, CareChoice is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as Head of Disability Operations. This pivotal role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of high‑quality disability services, ensuring that every client receives tailored support aligned with their individual goals, aspirations and funding arrangements.

The Head of Disability will champion service excellence across all programs, leading frontline teams to consistently deliver outcomes that reflect CareChoice's core values and model of care. Success in this role will be measured by strong staff performance, high retention rates and sustained referrals from our key valued partners.

Collaboration is key. You’ll work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Head of Partnerships, and other key stakeholders – together with your operational team to ensure a seamless client journey – from initial intake through to long‑term program implementation.

Exceptional written communication is essential, as the role involves producing a range of high‑level documentation to external and internal stakeholders.

Who are you?
  • You have a background in Nursing (degree‑qualified) and experience in disability supports.
  • Proven leadership experience, particularly in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NDIS funding and legislation.
  • A natural relationship builder with a track record of establishing and maintaining meaningful partnerships with key stakeholders.
Key components of the role include:
  • Lead operational delivery across disability programs to meet NDIS Practice Standards and the Code of Conduct.
  • Manage and develop multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Monitor and drive performance against financial and non‑financial targets.
  • Develop and deliver strategic projects to improve service quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and stakeholder engagement.
  • Prepare timely internal reports and external regulatory bodies, and manage responses to incidents and complaints.

Our head office is located in Mulgrave, in the heart of the south‑east suburbs and we offer hybrid work conditions.

Mandatory requirements
  • Bachelor of Nursing qualification with current AHPRA registration.
  • Valid and current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance and Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain).
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
