Job summary

The City of Holdfast Bay invites applications for a senior leadership role in Community Safety, based in Glenelg. You will lead a diverse team including Environmental Health, Parking Compliance and By-Law Administration to deliver safe, well-managed outcomes for Holdfast Bay residents.

You will drive policy, service improvements, and stakeholder engagement while managing budgets and performance reporting. A current Australian Driver's Licence and Local Government experience are highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in community safety or regulatory services.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience with budgeting and resource planning.
• Knowledge of local government regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across Community Safety services.
• Lead and develop a high-performing, customer-focused team.
• Lead regulatory, compliance, education and enforcement activities in a fair, balanced way.
• Use insights and trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with community members, government agencies and stakeholders.
• Manage complex investigations, complaints and sensitive issues.
• Oversee business planning, budget management, resource allocation and performance reporting.
