St Andrew’s Cathedral School in Sydney seeks a dynamic, theologically grounded leader to join the executive team as Head of Christian Development for Years 7–12. The successful candidate will lead curriculum development, oversee Years 7–12 Christian Development and Studies of Religion, and work with staff to model a distinctive Christian worldview.

This is a full‑time permanent appointment commencing Term 1, 2027, with responsibility for teaching and learning, staffing, budgeting and school

Qualifications

Proven ability to lead curriculum development and instructional change.
Strong theological grounding and ability to teach and lead with Anglican evangelical identity.
Experience mentoring teachers and building professional learning communities.
Active involvement in a Christian church and lived faith.
Experience leading Studies of Religion or equivalent across secondary years.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and renewal of the Christian Development curriculum.
Oversee Years 7–12 Christian Development and Studies of Religion.
Inspire teachers through coaching, mentoring and professional development.
Manage departmental planning, assessment, budgeting and staffing.
Promote innovative teaching using Scripture, philosophy, inquiry and contemporary culture.
Build a positive departmental culture and contribute to whole‑school initiatives.
Collaborate with school leaders to integrate Christian worldview across school life.
