The Director of Boarding at St Augustine's College in Cairns is a substantive leadership role within Catholic Education, Diocese of Cairns. The position oversees the boarding program for boys and cross-college girls, reporting to the College Leadership team, and aligns with the Marist tradition and Gospel values.

Qualifications

• Participation in and commitment to the sacramental life of the Church.
• Understanding and commitment to education in the Catholic tradition.
• Professional qualifications in Education and Religion as per Queensland Catholic Education Commission Position Statement for Senior Leadership Positions in Catholic Schools in Queensland.
• Leadership experience: demonstrated ability in religious and education leadership, administrative ability, interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability in curriculum development with knowledge of contemporary educational issues in Religious Education.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to pastoral care of the school community.
• Promote child safety at all times.
• Skills for building community including facilitation, delegation and consultation.
• Registered or eligible to register with Queensland College of Teachers.

Responsabilités

• Oversee the overall leadership and management of the Boarding School.
• Develop a contemporary boarding program for boys and girls in associated colleges.
• Ensure a welcoming, valued, nurtured and inspired boarding environment.
• Maintain consistency of policy and pedagogical framework within the College.
• Promote alignment with the College’s Strategic Plan across the community.
