Job summary

CQUniversity is seeking a Forward‑thinking Leader - Library Student and Academic Engagement to guide a team of Research and Academic Engagement Librarians and Client Services Librarians. You will deliver high-quality services, programs and expertise across the University, driving innovation and excellent client experiences in a dynamic academic library environment.

This senior role requires strategic thinking, people leadership and the ability to translate priorities into practical improvements

Qualifications

• Extensive contemporary academic library leadership experience across teaching, learning and/or research support.
• Proven experience leading teams and managing service delivery in a complex organisation.
• Strong knowledge of information and AI literacy and evolving role of academic libraries.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of librarians delivering high-quality services and expertise across the University.
• Drive innovation in library engagement and champion excellent client experiences.
• Influence service direction, build team capability and strengthen stakeholder partnerships.
• Contribute to initiatives that improve student success and research outcomes.
