Guzman y Gomez Mexican Kitchen in Forest Lakes is seeking a Head Cook for a new restaurant opening. The role is full-time and focuses on maintaining kitchen quality and supporting the team and restaurant management.

You will lead kitchen staff, ensure compliance with food safety standards, and contribute to the ongoing development of the kitchen crew in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen/cooking role in a busy hospitality environment.
• Experience leading and developing a team.
• Certificate in commercial cookery or equivalent experience.
• Good understanding of food safety concerns.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure kitchen quality standards are maintained.
• Support recruitment, training and development of kitchen staff.
• Assist Restaurant Manager with P&L including COGS and labor.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and WH&S policies.
