Job summary

Direct Steel Traders in Silverdale, NSW is seeking an experienced HC Driver for a full-time role delivering steel to customers across the NSW metro area. This hands-on position requires loading, securing and delivering loads while maintaining safety and load restraint at all times.

The ideal candidate will have an HC licence, strong knowledge of load restraint, proven commercial driving experience, and the ability to operate safely on tight schedules.

Qualifications

• Current HC licence.
• Good understanding of load restraint requirements.
• Demonstrated commercial driving experience.
• Experience transporting steel or similar loads.
• Good knowledge of Sydney metro and surrounding areas.
• Reliable, safety-focused and willing to work as part of a team.
• Ability to learn and adapt.
• Physically fit and comfortable regularly climbing on and off trailers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver steel to multiple customers throughout the day.
• Check and re-securing loads after each delivery and understand the importance of safe load restraint.
• Operate safely and efficiently with awareness of road conditions and schedules.
• Collaborate with team members to meet delivery targets.

Direct Steel Traders is a growing steel supplier based in Silverdale, NSW, and we’re looking for an experienced HC Driver to join our team.

About the role

This is a hands-on driving position delivering steel to multiple customers throughout the day.

As this role involves multiple drops, you'll need to be comfortable checking and re-securing loads after each delivery and understand the importance of safe load restraint.
