Job summary

Cahill Transport is seeking an experienced HC Driver for full-time, day shift work, delivering shuttle freight between Laverton depot and Burwood construction site in Melbourne.

You’ll perform pre-start checks, secure loads with straps and chains, and ensure on‑time delivery while complying with NHVR and OH&S requirements.

The role includes uniform and PPE supplied, weekly pay, ongoing training, and long‑term career progression within a national transport company.

Qualifications

• Current HC licence with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
• Experience securing loads using straps, dogs and chains.
• Comfort with coupling/uncoupling trailers.
• White Card or willingness to obtain before start with support.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled shuttle deliveries between Laverton depot and Burwood construction site.
• Transport construction freight safely and on time per pre-booked delivery times.
• Secure loads using straps, dogs and chains per NHVR requirements.
• Hook and unhook trailers as part of the shuttle cycle.
