Job summary

Hilton Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast is seeking a Handyperson to support the Engineering team in maintaining guest rooms and hotel systems. You will perform basic repairs, troubleshoot TV equipment, and handle minor carpentry and plumbing tasks to ensure rooms and corridors remain in top condition.

Ideal candidates bring a positive attitude, strong customer service, and the ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Experience in a similar role is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude with a customer‑centric approach.
• Excellent grooming standards for hotel environment.
• Flexible to respond to varied work situations.
• Good communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Previous experience in a similar handyman/maintenance role is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out basic repairs to guestrooms and A/C units.
• Troubleshoot and repair in‑house TV systems.
• Ensure guest rooms and corridors are in working order.
• Conduct minor furniture, carpentry and plumbing repairs (taps, shower heads, toilets).
• Report health and safety issues on the floor.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
