Job summary

Oaks The Entrance Waterfront Suites in NSW is seeking a proactive and reliable handyperson to join our team on a full-time basis. You will keep guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces well-presented, safe and welcoming, handling repairs and maintenance with a hands-on approach.

The role offers variety, from preventative maintenance to urgent fixes, with shifts including weekends/public holidays. Competitive hourly rates apply, and staff benefits include hotel discounts across Minor

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on experience in building or property maintenance (12 months preferred, not essential).
• Previous painting experience will be preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent time management and organisational abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine commitment to delivering high standards of service.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs and maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, pool maintenance and facilities
• Oversee and support external contractors when required
• Implement and maintain the property’s preventative maintenance program
• Keep accurate records of daily tasks, maintenance requests, and service schedules

Job Description

Oaks The Entrance Waterfront Suites is currently looking for a proactive and reliable Handyperson to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is essential in ensuring our property remains well-presented, safe, and welcoming for both guests and staff.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys creating a safe, well-maintained environment for guests and colleagues alike. As part of our team, you’ll be the go-to person for repairs and maintenance, working across guest rooms, public areas, and behind the scenes to make sure everything operates at its best. Every day will bring variety; from preventative checks and scheduled maintenance to tackling unexpected issues quickly and effectively.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Carry out general repairs and maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, pool maintenance and facilities
• Oversee and support external contractors when required
• Implement and maintain the property’s preventative maintenance program
• Keep accurate records of daily tasks, maintenance requests, and service schedules

Shift Details (subject to change)

• Minimum 16 hours per week.
• Monday to Sunday 6:00am - 10:00pm

Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation):

Monday - Friday: $27.97 per hour

Saturday: $34.96 per hour

Sunday: $41.96 per hour

Qualifications
