Job summary

Rohan's Maintenance on the Gold Coast is seeking an experienced Handyman to join a friendly team. You will maintain childcare centres, perform repairs, and interact with Directors and Managers to keep centres safe and well-presented.

This full-time role includes a company vehicle and tools, requires 1-3+ years' handyman experience, Blue Card and Police Check, and the ability to work autonomously in coastal conditions.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of experience in a handyman position.
• Experience maintaining childcare centres is preferred but not essential.
• Proficiency in internal maintenance tasks including door repairs, painting, carpentry, deck staining, flat pack installation.
• National Police Check (completed within last 3 months, or ability to maintain).
• Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia.
• Clean driving record and current driver's licence.
• Blue Card Working With Children.
• Ability to lift up to 20kg and work in various weather conditions.

Are you an experienced Handyman ready to join our friendly team at Rohan's Maintenance? We are looking for a hardworking, customer centric maintenance person, with 1-3+ years' experience as a handyman. Working alongside our friendly team, you will also work autonomously, maintaining childcare centres. This role is a full-time position.

The position involves completing work to a high standard, at an efficient pace. You will interact with childcare Directors and Managers, making a positive impact on the Childcare Centre and its community. Company vehicle and tools are provided for onsite work. A Blue Card - Working With Children Check, and police check is compulsory before commencement.

Location: Predominately Northern Gold Coast to Brisbane.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform the internal centre maintenance handyman requirements for childcare centres. This could include but is not limited to: Door repairs, internal painting, minor carpentry, deck staining, flat pack installation and more. Must have experienced in this area.
• Ensure all work meets high standards, with an attention to detail.
• Engage with childcare Directors and Managers, providing excellent customer service.

Experience and Qualifications:

• 1-3+ years of experience in a handyman position
• Experience in maintaining childcare centres is preferred but not essential
• Proficiency in internal maintenance tasks including door repairs, internal painting, minor carpentry, deck staining, flat pack installation and more.
• National Police Check (completed within the last 3 months, or ability to maintain)
• Must have unrestricted work rights in Australia and New Zealand
• Clean driving record and current drivers licence needed
• Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
• Ability to lift up to 20kg and work in various weather conditions
• Intermediate skills in minor carpentry tasks are preferred
• Room painting experience beyond basic touch-ups is needed for this role
