Job summary

Vulcan, Inc. on the Central Coast is seeking an Operations Manager to own day-to-day warehouse operations. This hands-on role focuses on process, performance, and people, with standard hours 7.30am–4.00pm.

You will lead a nine-person team, manage receiving, storage, dispatch, and inventory, uphold safety standards, and drive continuous improvement across systems and procedures. Experience in metals distribution is helpful but not required.

• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Hands-on, organised, self-starter attitude.
• Strong safety compliance mindset.
• Ability to translate business objectives into actionable team tasks.

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse operations including receiving, storage, dispatch, and inventory control.
• Oversee logistics and forklift operations to ensure efficient workflows.
• Implement and improve operational processes and procedures.
• Lead, train, and support nine warehouse team members.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance standards.
• Operate with an owner-operator mentality. Must be proactive and accountable
• Contribute to a positive, team-driven workplace culture.
• Use basic computer systems for tracking and coordination
