Job summary

Palm Lake Care Mount Warren Park is seeking a practical, reliable Maintenance Officer to join our team. This role suits someone with hands-on experience as a handyman, maintenance worker, painter, or carpenter, who is confident using tools and can complete patch work and general upkeep to a neat standard.

You will handle day-to-day maintenance requests across the aged care home, check common and resident areas, and support contractors for larger or licensed works.

Qualifications

• Experience in handyman work or general maintenance.
• Ability to complete patch work and minor repairs safely and neatly.
• Current manual C-class driver's licence.
• National Police Check or willingness to obtain one.
• Certificate III in Workplace Health and Safety is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Complete day-to-day maintenance requests across the aged care home.
• Carry out patch work, minor repairs and general upkeep.
• Check common areas, resident areas, grounds and equipment for safety and presentation.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
• Report hazards and maintenance risks clearly.
• Work with the Service Manager to prioritise jobs.
• Organise and support contractors for larger, licensed works.
