Job summary

Lucky Hair Studio Pty Ltd is seeking two skilled and motivated Hairdressers to provide professional hairdressing services to clients in Australia. The role includes consulting with clients on hairstyles and care, shampooing, cutting, colouring, styling, and maintaining a clean, sanitised work area within a full-time, permanent position.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Hairdressing.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant hairdressing experience.
• Demonstrated experience in men's and women's hair cutting, styling and finishing.
• Experience in hair colouring, highlighting, straightening and other hair treatments.
• Good knowledge of hairdressing tools, equipment and hygiene practices.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Keep work stations clean and sanitize tools such as scissors and combs.
• Cut, trim and shape hair or hairpieces, based on customers' instructions, hair type and facial features, using clippers, scissors, trimmers and razors.
• Analyze patrons' hair and other physical features to determine and recommend beauty treatment or suggest hair styles.
• Schedule client appointments.
• Bleach, dye, or tint hair, using applicator or brush.
• Update and maintain customer information records, such as beauty services provided.
• Shampoo, rinse, condition and dry hair and scalp or hairpieces with water, liquid soap, or other solutions.
• Operate cash registers to receive payments from patrons.
• Demonstrate and sell hair care products and cosmetics.
• Develop new styles and techniques.
• Apply water, setting, straightening or waving solutions to hair and use curlers, rollers, hot combs and curling irons to press and curl hair.

The role involves consulting with clients on hairstyles and hair care, shampooing and conditioning hair, cutting hair using scissors, clippers and razors, colouring, straightening and permanently waving hair, and styling hair including braids, dreadlocks and hair extensions where required. The position also includes maintaining clean work areas and sanitising hairdressing tools and equipment, arranging client appointments and processing payments, and cleaning, colouring, cutting and styling wigs and hairpieces where required. Massage and treat scalp for hygienic and remedial purposes, using hands, fingers, or vibrating equipment. Shave, trim and shape beards and moustaches. Train or supervise other hairstylists, hairdressers and assistants. Recommend and explain the use of cosmetics, lotions, and creams to soften and lubricate skin and enhance and restore natural appearance. Give facials to patrons, using special compounds such as lotions and creams. Attach wigs or hairpieces to model heads and dress wigs and hairpieces according to instructions, samples, sketches or photographs. Qualification & experience Certificate III in Hairdressing. Minimum 1 year of relevant hairdressing experience. Demonstrated experience in men's and women's hair cutting, styling and finishing. Experience in hair colouring, highlighting, straightening and other hair treatments. Knowledge of shampooing, conditioning and appropriate hair-care practices. Good knowledge of hairdressing tools, equipment and hygiene practices. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a professional salon team.
