The Haematology Clinical Research Centre is seeking a Specimen Shipment Laboratory Assistant to support the management, documentation and shipment of biological specimens associated with haematology clinical research. Working under the guidance of the Unit Manager, you will coordinate the preparation and shipment of laboratory samples to local and international sponsors, ensuring specimens are handled, documented and dispatched safely and within study-specific requirements. You will play an important role in supporting the efficient operation of the Haematology Clinical Research Centre through accurate specimen tracking, database management, courier coordination and adherence to clinical trial laboratory manuals and procedures.

The Haematology Clinical Research Centre (HCRC) at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne provides coordination and care to patients participating in haematology clinical trials. Clinical treatment is delivered across the outpatient Cancer Centre Chemotherapy Day Unit and inpatient services. The HCRC works closely with haematologists, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory staff, investigators and other multidisciplinary teams to support the delivery of high-quality clinical research and patient care.
