Job summary

WSP is seeking a National Resources Growth Lead - Environmental Approvals to drive a national growth strategy across Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia. You will build trusted relationships with mining, energy transition, and industrial clients, shaping strategic pursuits and leading cross-regional collaboration.

This role emphasizes hands-on delivery, providing senior technical input on complex approvals while mentoring others and expanding the resources approvals community within

Qualifications

• Typically 10+ years' experience in environmental planning and approvals.
• Sound knowledge of Commonwealth and State approvals frameworks, with depth in at least one jurisdiction (QLD, NSW or SA highly regarded).
• Experience growing client relationships and turning opportunities into won work.

Responsibilities

• Shape and deliver a national growth strategy for resources approvals, focusing on QLD, NSW and SA.
• Build trusted relationships with mining, energy, and industrial clients.
• Identify, shape and lead strategic pursuits including win strategy and pricing.
• Provide senior technical input on complex approvals for mining and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with Regional Executives to prioritise clients and opportunities.
• Coordinate across Ecology, Water, Mining, Energy and Transport to deliver integrated solutions.
