Platypus Shoes Watergardens is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to work alongside the Store Manager and lead a team of casual staff in a fast-paced retail environment. You will focus on driving sales, coaching the team, and delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining store standards and culture.

This role emphasises KPI targets, staff development, roster management, and OH&S compliance, with a Sunday to Thursday roster and opportunities for career growth within Accent Group

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a senior casual, key holder, 3IC, or supervisor in a high-volume retail environment.
• Proven ability to lead a team and deliver strong results in sales and KPIs.
• Hands-on leader with a 'Make it Happen' mindset.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for coaching others.
• Operational know-how across stock management and visual merchandising.
• Enthusiasm for customer experience and working with premium product.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in driving store performance by achieving sales targets, KPIs, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Motivate and inspire the team to deliver outstanding results in sales and customer experience.
• Monitor and analyse store sales performance daily, weekly, and monthly; celebrate wins and identify opportunities for growth.
• Manage rosters and wage spend in line with company targets and operational efficiency.
• Coach and mentor team members, driving high morale, ongoing training, and succession planning.
• Oversee stock levels, store presentation, shrinkage control, and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with OH&S policies and relevant state and national legislation.
