Hart Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Group Experience Director (SEO/GEO) to lead a high-performing SEO capability within a global media organisation. The role oversees SEO strategy, client delivery, and commercial performance across Melbourne and Sydney, working with the Head of SEO to strengthen the function as a centre of excellence.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Group Experience Director (SEO/GEO) to lead a high-performing SEO capability within a leading global media organisation.This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing SEO strategy, client delivery, commercial performance and specialist team development across Melbourne and Sydney.Working closely with the Head of SEO, you'll play a pivotal role in strengthening the SEO function as a centre of excellence, driving innovation, improving operational performance and delivering sustainable commercial growth.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead and develop a team of Directors and Associate Directors across Melbourne and Sydney.Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on professional development, accountability and client success.

Oversee SEO strategy, client delivery and performance across major client portfolios.

Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior clients, providing strategic guidance and acting as a key escalation point.Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and evolve SEO products, services and commercial offerings.

Manage commercial performance, including revenue forecasting, profitability, client scopes and renewals.Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through strategic partnerships, scope expansion and new SEO solutions.

Work closely with agency teams, performance specialists and technology partners to integrate SEO into broader media strategies.

What We're Looking For

This opportunity requires an experienced SEO and digital leader with the ability to balance strategic client relationships, commercial accountability, people leadership and operational excellence.

Extensive experience across SEO, organic search strategy and digital performance within an agency or media environment.Strong understanding of SEO product development and its integration into broader media and marketing strategies.

Proven experience leading and developing senior specialists, Directors or Associate Directors across multiple teams or locations.

Strong commercial acumen, including revenue forecasting, profitability management, client scopes and account growth.

Demonstrated ability to manage complex client portfolios and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.

Experience improving operational processes, delivery standards, team structures and quality frameworks.
